Where will you hold your event?
Deciding where to host your event is a big consideration. Here are a few ideas:
- At home. If you’re inviting people you know - or friends of people you know - then your house can be perfect. If you're hosting a large group, you may want to consider hiring equipment like an urn or crockery. However, you can keep your event as laid-back as you like. If you’re hosting outside, make sure you have a wet-weather plan as back-up.
- At work. Hosting in your workplace can be lots of fun, easy, and means you can often invite lots of people. Make sure you book out a common area or meeting room. Ensuring the buy-in of your management team can give your event a huge boost.
- In the community. Of course, you can also arrange an event in a public space - such as a community hall or sporting club. This is particularly handy if you anticipate a very large group. Just make sure you secure your booking well in advance!
- School, TAFE or Uni. Whether you’re hosting for students, teachers, or both, educational facilities can often have perfect facilities and equipment for hosting events. Check what equipment your place of work has - and make sure you book it out for your event!
