Host a successful Morning Tea by following our 5 easy steps:
Step 1: Set a date
The official date is Thursday May 27, but you can hold your event any time in May. It pays to check what else is on to avoid clashes with other major local or national events.
Step 2: Brainstorm ideas
Chat with your friends and colleagues to find an idea and place for a fundraiser that really excites you - let your imagination run free! Check out our top fundraising ideas and think about where you’re going to host your morning tea.
Step 3: Invite your guests & get your event noticed
Think about the people you know and the connections you have and invite them to your event. Remember to tell everyone your motivations for fundraising. If you’ve got an online fundraising page you can email invites and manage RSVPs to keep costs low. Register now by selecting your state!
Your local newspaper or radio station can be a great way to spread the word. Use our press release template as a guide to what information you should include.
Step 4: Say thanks
It is people’s generosity that makes Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea possible so please, tell your guests how much their support is appreciated.
Step 5: Collect and return your funds
The sooner we receive your proceeds, the sooner we can put the money to work. Check out our competition prizes for hosts returning funds by Monday 14 June 2010.
