Will Stewart and Steve Flood became household names after they won the 2015 edition of My Kitchen Rules and subsequently rose to stardom in Australia’s culinary scene. Their first cookbook: Will and Steve Home Cook, Aspiring Chef was published in September 2016.
Cheekily calling themselves ‘The Gourmet Pommies’, they take their food seriously but not themselves. Self-deprecating and often playfully mean to each other, they make for a hilarious and charismatic duo. As a team who have always worked together for the same cause, they have been there for each other with a smile on their face and a glint of determination in their eyes.
Will and Steve are continuing on a mission to continue to share their love and passion for food with everyone they encounter. The British-born mates will be inspiring Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea hosts with delicious recipes for tasty treats, as they once again come on board as ambassadors for the iconic Cancer Council NSW event.
Having lost all four of his grandparents to four different types of cancer, supporting Cancer Council NSW and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is close to Steve’s heart:
“The number of people being diagnosed with some form of cancer is devastating. That’s why we’re so passionate about this cause – to make sure that no one deals with it alone, without a friend by their side and a cup of tea in their hand,” he said.
“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an excellent way for people to come together to increase awareness for people affected by cancer – and to raise funds for research, prevention and support,” said Will.
Will and Steve’s mission – to empower everyone to have the belief and knowledge that they can create good food – is very much in line with Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, an event that encourages everyone to put the kettle on and contribute their part to beating cancer
