Friends and family, living and loving

Facing the future when you have been told you have cancer can be very different for each of us. For me it was a mix of the curious with fancination and a little fear.
The photos I have posted on my page in the gallery are of the people I know and love who have fought the fight with cancer . Three beautiful people; Mira, Sue, and  my lovely Mum, Nita past away. 
 When Pete was in his 36th year he was diagnosed  with advance bowel cancer and within 2 years in my 36th year, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I am 71 now.
We did think we might be sitting on a uranium dump. Because the Concord  suburb in Sydney appears to have more than their fair share of various cancers and we added to a very long list of locals we knew who had their cancers, many who had lost the fight and died. The moral  or the focus of this story is I was lucky to find my cancer in time. You don't  need to count on a luck diagnosis but trust that you become aware; know about your body , how it functions/feels, keep doing your check ups; bowel kit tests, mammograms, PSA test, raise your awarness,  make healthy choices with foods , exercises and habits. Live long, love and  stay safe..
