Support my Biggest Morning Tea
This year, the Stage 1 Food & Catering class will be hosting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to help the Cancer Council raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.
We will be offering high tea-style takeaway boxes for you to enjoy at recess on Thursday in Week 6. Options will include a selection of sweet and savoury bite-sized items such as pastries, cakes, and finger sandwiches.
Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, 4th June (Week 6)
- Time: Pick up from Home Ec at recess
- Cost: $10 or a donation of your choosing to support cancer research
Your participation in this event will:
- Help fund world-class cancer research, which has already increased cancer survival rates from 49% in the 1980s to 71% today.
- Fund prevention initiatives like the HPV vaccine and the new cervical screening program, which have put Australia on track to become the first country to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem.
- Help fund support services for the 150,000 Australians who are diagnosed with cancer every year
