Why im hosting Australia's biggest morning Tea

For a long time, I’ve wanted to be part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, but this year, it feels more important than ever.

Cancer is something that touches every single one of us. Whether it’s our own journey, someone we love, or someone within our community, it leaves a mark that never truly goes away. Sadly, almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and that reality alone is enough to remind us how important it is to stand together.

For me, this isn’t just another event.
This is personal.

During my own experience, the support, care, and dedication from the Cancer Council was something I will never forget. They were there not just for me, but also for one of my closest friends during her treatment and for so many others walking this incredibly tough path. The work they do goes far beyond what people see. They provide support, guidance, accommodation, education, and most importantly,  hope.

Hosting this morning tea is my way of giving back.

It’s about taking something as simple as a cup of tea and turning it into something powerful. Because every dollar raised goes towards life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services for people and families facing cancer.

But more than that, it’s about community.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea has grown into one of the country’s most loved fundraising events, with thousands of people coming together each year to support this cause and raise millions of dollars.
And that’s what I want to create a space where our community can come together, connect, support one another, and be part of something bigger.

Because sometimes, the smallest gestures, a conversation, a cuppa, a shared story, can make the biggest difference.

This event is for those who are currently fighting.
For those who have fought.
For those we’ve lost.
And for the future we’re all hoping for.

So I’m putting the kettle on, opening the doors, and inviting our community to stand together, to raise awareness, to raise funds, and to remind every person impacted by cancer that they are not alone.

Because together… we can make a difference.
