Honoring Cheryl Barr

Cheryl worked for SELLEN for 6 years in the workplace learning team, she had great skills communicating with employers and young people and was highly valued for this in her role, but also teaching us, her colleagues, and others how to enhance and develop our communication skills. Cheryl left SELLEN to work for OELLEN which was nearer to her home, she officially retired at age 69 in 2019.

In April 2024, Cheryl was diagnosed with cancer and on 27 April 2025, she passed away in the loving arms of her devoted family.

We wish to dedicate our Biggest Morning Tea this year to our colleague and friend, Cheryl as our way of honoring her.
