I hope we may get to see some photos and hear who won the Bake Off in Canberra shortly, and that if getting out or together in-person locally wasn't possible today you were able to join a regional meeting link and met with some familiar or new faces.

It was a glorious Autumn morning on the NSW South Coast to get out of the office, and the baking by Three66 Espresso Bar did not disappoint!

I am grateful, and proud, that we support Cancer Council as our chosen charity for 2026.

Canberra is getting cold but MPS HQ Bake Off is heating up

As part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, we’re bringing the Canberra team together for a morning of delicious treats, friendly competition, and fundraising for a great cause.

Think your baking deserves legendary status? We’re calling for volunteer bakers to enter our blind taste-testing competition, where your fellow colleagues will vote for their favourite creation on the day.

The stakes?
🏆 The coveted MPS Bake Off Trophy
👏 Office-wide bragging rights
🍰 Eternal glory (or at least until next year)

Not entering? Bring a plate to share!

Even if you’re not competing, we’d love everyone to get involved by bringing along a plate to share so we can create an amazing morning tea spread for the whole Canberra team to enjoy.

Support our MPS 2026 Biggest Morning Tea

MPS has long been a supporter of Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. It is the perfect opportunity to come together and have some fun, raise a cup (or maybe rise a cake) and contribute much-needed funds for Cancer Council’s vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.

This year, we are planning events for Thursday 21 May 2026, at MPS HQ (in our nation’s capital), regional get togethers around the country, as well as virtual meeting links. And encourage all our staff - all across Australia - to connect in-person where possible with their nearest located colleagues and across teams (or virtually if in-person isn’t possible due to distance across our vast continent).

Join us for this year’s Biggest Morning Tea, on 21 May 2026 or donate online to help reach (or exceed) our fundraising goal! Together, we can help Cancer Council raise funds that go towards lifesaving support for the almost 1 in 2 Australians impacted by cancer.
