Cancer has a way of changing everything. It touches not just one life, but the lives of everyone around it, leaving behind moments of heartbreak, strength, and deep reflection. Thank you for hosting the Morning Tea. It’s more than just a gathering it’s a space where stories can be shared, memories are honoured, and hope is gently passed from one person to the next. Most of us at QUT carry a story of someone we’ve lost, someone we’re fighting alongside, or a battle we’ve fought ourselves. While there’s sorrow, there’s also something powerful in coming together and donating.

The support serve and understanding provided by the Cancer Council was amazing and with these kind of events they can continue this amazing work and support. (My mum passed away on the 22st of May 2024 after battling cancers for more than 6 years, I wish I could attend to share her story and the Cancer Council great work but I will be taking a moment on this day in her memory. may her memory be eternal.)

Thank you for continuing to host in honour of a special cause that’s close to my heart. For those who have fought and continue to fight against cancer, my mum being one of them continuing to fight a terminal diagnosis, 7 years and still fighting 🌻
