Cancer has touched every part of my life, I've lost my first partner, my sister, and more recently, my mum. Everyone in my family, in fact, has died of cancer. Thankfully, we also have survivors, my mum's sisters are still going strong. Here's to remembering those we love, and helping give others a fighting chance.

Ingry's Story - her Grandmother

I had the privilege of knowing one of the most important people in my life my grandmother. Although she battled cancer, her incredible spirit and love still shine through. I hope this message brings a little bit of hope and support to anyone who needs it. Remember we're all in this together, and sharing positivity can make a world of difference!

a personal touch

This event is deeply personal to me. My three older siblings have faced the devastating battle against cancer. My eldest brother, Tommy, fought throat cancer, my sister Helen bravely battled breast cancer, and my other brother David, endured brain cancer. Tragically, both Tommy and David lost their lives to this relentless disease. Each journey has been a profound emotional struggle, shaping my resilience and connecting me with the heartfelt stories of others.

I warmly invite anyone who wishes to share their journey of a loved one who has faced this terrible disease to send me pictures and stories and they can be added to the Cancer Council’s Amcor Page. Together, we can honour their memories and support each other.

Let's unite to help the Cancer Council raise crucial funds for cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy. Together, we can make a difference. Let's make this morning tea count for them 😊
