In 2018, my sister-in-law Janet, passed away after a long illness with Breast Cancer. This was the first time Cancer came close to me, to our family. Janet: a wife, mum, sister, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, friend and colleague fought long and well. She lived life to the fullest and made sure every moment counted not only for herself but for those around her. Her faith in God kept her looking forward and looking to Him. This was not to say there weren't hard times, however Janet always managed to bring light to a room. Janet left a strong legacy for how to live well when you know you don't have long to live. Janet I thank you for this. I have lots of memories of this time.
Together, we can help Cancer Council raise much needed funds that go towards vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.
