Biggest Morning Tea NSW

Hosting my 2nd year

In honour of People impacted by cancer, Gai Henry

Support our Biggest Morning Tea

Cancer has touched a lot of families in the Space BJJ community, and this event started in 2025 soon after one of our gym families lost someone very special.

On the day, we run a sausage sizzle, and spend time together as a community raising money for Cancer Council. It's family-friendly, visitors are welcome, and every dollar goes toward research, support, and care for people affected by cancer.

Last year, our community raised $1140. This year, we want to go further.

If you'd like to support us, we're grateful for every single donation.

How the day will run

Sunday 28th June, 3:00pm Kick-off and open mat
Open mat for kids and adults starts at 3pm. The kids open mat will run on a separate, kids-only mat area for a 30 minute period, with immediate supervisors in that space for their safety.

Donations, food and the raffle

Every dollar raised goes straight to the Cancer Council. We ask for a $5 donation per person to get started, but please give whatever you can, it all counts.

Your $5 entry gets you a ticket to redeem at the food stand for 1 x sausage, 1 x drink, 1 x cake (while they last!) and 1 x raffle ticket.
Feeling generous? Every extra $5 you donate earns you another 3 x raffle tickets, so the more you give, the more chances you have to win.

When you're finished rolling and are ready to eat, just head over, get your card punched and collect your goodies. Still hungry? A gold coin donation gets you any extra items you like.

Massages with Sarah Blight
We're so lucky to have Sarah Blight from Sarah Blight Holistic Health joining us on the day. Sarah is an amazing qualified local massage therapist, and she'll be offering hand and arm, or neck and shoulder massages in  10 minute blocks.
Simply make a donation (as a guide, starting from $10), pop your name on the list, and enjoy your massage. You can find Sarah at @sarahblightmassagetherapist.

Kids colouring-in competition
Our colouring-in competition will be drawn on the day! Make sure you grab a copy of the colouring sheet from the desk at Space before the event so the kids can get creative. We'll be judging two age categories separately, our Little Warriors and our Junior Warriors, with a prize basket for each. Thanks to the Cowin family, the baskets are packed with cinema vouchers, Lolly Kingdom vouchers, LEGO and more.

Guess the lollies jar
Donated by Carli Underwood at Selection Studio (@selectionstudioaustralia), the lollies jar is on the desk at Space now. Make a gold coin donation anytime, take your guess, and the winner will be drawn on the day.

Today I made a donation to this fundraiser, and it’s one that means a great deal to me personally. I lost my mum to brain cancer, so I know firsthand the heartbreak, pain and helplessness that this disease can bring to a family. No family should have to go through it, yet so many do. That’s why causes like this matter. The funds raised help support research, treatment, and the people and families facing some of the toughest days of their lives. In memory of Mum, and in support of everyone currently fighting cancer, I’ve made a contribution and encourage anyone who can to do the same. Whether it’s a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or simply starting a conversation, every bit of support helps. Thank you to everyone involved in making a difference. Together, we can bring hope to families who need it most.
