Brandie Masters's Biggest Morning Tea

Hosting my 1st year

In honour of my Grandmother, Gma- Heather Hall <3

Our beautiful Gma...

Our worlds were completely shattered when we found out the news that our beautiful Gma had been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer at the beginning of the year. The biggest shock of all was that this evil disease took her from us suddenly within 3 weeks of her initial diagnosis. She was otherwise fit as a fiddle, very active and lived a healthy lifestyle. Whilst we were grateful that she didn't have any prolonged suffering, it meant we didn't have long to say goodbye or prepare ourselves for her a world where  she wouldn't be in it. Even to this day, it still doesn't feel real that she's gone and we miss her dearly. Gma was the most kindest, thoughtful and beautiful person I knew. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife of over 50 years and such a hands on grandma who loved each of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews immensely. She made friends everywhere she went, lit up every room she walked into and she was such a joy to be around.  Grandma was a social butterfly,  she was so inclusive of everyone and her warm hospitality meant she welcomed you into her home with open arms where you never wanted to leave. She touched so many people during her time here on earth. One of Gma's favourite things to do and her most famous talent was baking. She loved a chat, and especially enjoyed to do this over morning tea (or smoko as she liked to call it) whilst she shared out her delicious cakes and slices alongside a cuppa tea or coffee. So this year I'd love to host a morning tea at my house to honour our beautiful Gma and raise money for the cancer council in the hope that one day, they will find a cure for this cruel disease. Any contribution you can make big or small is so appreciated. For those coming to the morning tea, I thought it would be really lovely to bring along a plate of food that was either inspired or reminds you of your grandma. Thank you! X
