Community Meeting Update

Twenty-one amazing people came together today to finalise the details on our Biggest Afternoon Tea. It will be a fun filled extravaganza with the support of you all. What do you need Jo? I am glad you asked 🙂

  1. We need photos - we would like to showcase the activities we have already held in our village as well as the evolution of growth since our very first settlers in May 2022. Please pass them onto Deb Di Martino in Villa 28.
  2. We need raffle prizes - look through those cupboards and see if you have something small to donate to our raffle. Drop at Villa 98 or on the morning of setup Wednesday 21st of May at 0900.
  3. We need craft to sell - the crafty people at the meeting came up with the wonderful idea of donate craft items and donating to the biggest morning tea. There will be a craft stall for us to look at. I personally cannot wait, I will be donating my dish cloths and cats bum coasters, Peter Robinson will be donating his earrings, Di Bright will have her cards, Yak and Yarn may make some daffodil brooches. There will be so much more on offer from our amazing craft community, I am sure. 🙂Items to be brought to setup at 0900.
  4. We need baked good to sell - If you wish to provide something yummy or sell, that would be awesome. Items must be wrapped and labelled. Items to be brought to setup at 0900.
  5. We need plants to sell - why not go into your garden and pot up a succulent, desert rose or anything you feel would thrive in our gardens. Items to be brought to setup at 0900.
  6. We need you to bring something yummy on the day, sweet or savoury to share.
  7. If you cannot attend it would be appreciated if you made a small donation on the website, every little bit helps. https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/s/91784/138162
  8. Wear something blue, yellow or both, the colours of the cancer council.

Andrew James will be the MC, and he will ensure that the important message of making a difference to those affected by cancer is not lost.

For those who cannot sit still, we have booked the 8 Ball tables and Marty Maynard will happily run a little competition for the afternoon. The golf simulator has also been booked for those who would like a hit.

To enhance the ambience of the day, the bar will be open, thanks to all the bar volunteers who have graciously given their time.

We are so looking forward to seeing everyone in blue, yellow or both making a difference and having fun at the same time :)

Kind Regards

Biggest Afternoon Tea in the Clubhouse

We are going to make a difference to all those who have been affected by cancer by holding an amazing afternoon tea in the Clubhouse auditorium on Wednesday the 21st of May at 3 pm.

It will be a blue and yellow theme, the colours of the cancer council. So please come in blue, yellow or both.  It will be an afternoon of fun and frivolity while making a difference to many.

I will be asking for your help in decorating, providing prizes and bringing a plate to share. Many hands make light work! Please feel free to offer you help, it will be gratefully appreciated. We are an amazing community.
