Support my Biggest Morning Tea
Having once been part of the Cancer Council Victoria team, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible dedication to cancer research, prevention, and support. Little did I know that my own cancer journey would deepen my appreciation for their work.
Over the past six months, I've navigated my way through a diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer. Despite the twists and turns along the path, being proactive about my health and advocating for further tests led to crucial early detection. Classified with Grade D density, I persisted with ultrasounds and MRI referrals, which ultimately led to successful surgery to remove both invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
Radiation therapy and chemoprevention followed supported by the excellent Andrew Love Cancer Centre.
Finding cancer early offers the best chance of successful treatment. So, when that screening letter or kit arrives in your post, don't brush it aside. It could be the first step towards early detection and a brighter outcome.
Join me at my Biggest Morning Tea or donate online to help me reach my fundraising goal! Together, we can help Cancer Council raise much needed funds that go towards vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.
