What this means to me

Like most of us, I have seen people I care about who have been impacted by cancer.

One in two people will be diagnosed in their lifetime, which is overwhelming.

When I was diagnosed with AML in 2022 my whole life changed. It has been the most difficult thing I have ever been through.

Luckily, I have had the most amazing support around me to get me through.

This support included from the Cancer Council, who have wonderful resources for people going through hard times.

Not only do they provide practical and financial support, they provide emotional support.

Donations also assist with funding cancer research, and participating in a medical trial saved my life.

I feel it is so important to give back, which is why I am hosting a biggest morning tea!
