Cancer!!

It’s a word that has quietly woven its way through my life for years.
Like many of you, I’ve watched people I love hear those devastating words. I’ve sat beside friends and family while they fought battles they never asked for. I’ve seen the strength it takes, the fear that comes with it, and the way it changes lives forever. Because of that, I’ve always donated when I could and supported the cause whenever it came around. Cancer is everywhere in our communities. It doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care about your age, your plans, or the life you thought you had mapped out.
And then in January this year… it became my turn.
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, which has spread to my lymph nodes.
Not words anyone ever wants to hear.
It’s surreal when the thing you’ve supported from the sidelines suddenly becomes your own reality. One moment you’re cheering others on… the next you’re the one being told about treatment plans, scans, and the road ahead.
But if there’s one thing this journey has already shown me, it’s the power of people. The messages, the support, the love, the laughter (because you all know humour is how I cope) it reminds me every day that none of us are meant to do hard things alone.
Cancer affects so many of us. Whether it’s you, someone you love, or someone in your wider circle, its reach is far too big. That’s why I’m asking you to stand with me.
Please join me in raising money for this incredibly important cause. Every dollar helps fund research, improve treatments, and move us closer to a world where fewer people hear those life-altering words.
For everyone who has fought this battle.
For everyone currently fighting it.
And for those who will sadly face it in the future.
