Support my Biggest Morning Tea

The Reef Authority is once again proud to host our annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council, helping raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer. We warmly invite you to join us for this important cause and to spend some time together appreciating each other’s company over delicious food.

With the support of our Executive Management Group, this event is now in its 23rd year. We sincerely thank them for their continued commitment to a cause that is close to many of our hearts.

Funds raised contribute to world‑class cancer research, which has helped increase cancer survival rates from 49% in the 1980s to 71% today. They also support prevention initiatives such as the HPV vaccine and the cervical screening program - efforts that have placed Australia on track to become the first country to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem. Importantly, your donations also help fund support services for the 150,000 Australians diagnosed with cancer each year. With demand for these services higher than ever, your contribution truly makes a difference.

We kindly ask everyone to bring a plate of goodies to share (without your help, we have nothing) and to bring some cash to use as voting dollars. Please note that attendance and contributions are not compulsory; your support in any form is appreciated.

Donations can be made by scanning the QR code, via the fundraising page, or in cash at the event. Monetary donations will be exchanged for voting dollars (tokens), which you can place in the voting boxes for your favourite dishes. The plate with the most votes will be crowned our Biggest Morning Tea Winner and awarded the trophy for the year, along with well‑earned bragging rights. We always enjoy some very competitive (and delicious) entries.

This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share some treats, and contribute to creating a cancer‑free future.
