Support my Biggest Morning Tea
My name is Sue, a local resident of the Yanchep and Two Rocks community in WA. I have owned and operated a small business known as Chocolate Drops Tearooms located in the Yanchep National Park for 20 years.
After a routine mammogram in 2011, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I underwent surgery and completed my treatment programs in Perth, which were very successful and I am very pleased to say I am now a breast cancer survivor.
In 2013, I co-founded a small charity known as the Two Rocks Yanchep Assisted Cancer Travels Inc. (TRYACT Inc.) A volunteer based transport service for any local resident who have received a cancer diagnosis and is finding difficulty in transporting themselves to and from the many diagnostic, medical and treatment program appointments at various medical venues throughout the Perth CBD and surrounding townships.
In 2022- 2025 I volunteered as a board member with the local LJM Memorial Hospice, another small community charity, I am still actively involved with both charities. During time spent involved with TRYACT Inc. as President, I trained with Cancer Council WA as a Support Group Facilitator alongside other community Volunteers once completed we moved on to develop a Cancer Support Group to this community for a couple of years prior to Covid.
The guidance and support from Cancer Council WA have been invaluable over the years, giving me the confidence to assist community members during their experience with cancer.
Hosting The Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event at my favorite workplace brings me great pleasure, I am so looking forward to fundraising again this year and bringing people together in a fun filled atmosphere while contributing and supporting Cancer Council Australia by raising vital funds for life-saving research, prevention programs and support services.
I look for forward to sharing a ‘Çuppa’ with everyone at Chocolate Drops Tearooms on Thursday May 21st 2026 10.30am-2.30pm, please be wearing your best hat!!
