In honour of my beautiful Dad & Brother I am hosting this years Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to give back and support others facing the unimaginable.
In 2013 I lost my Dad after a short four week battle with cancer. It completely shattered our family, and honestly, I never thought we would have to experience that kind of heartbreak again. Earlier this year, my brother was diagnosed with cancer and just three weeks later, we lost him too. The grief has affected our family in ways I can’t fully put into words, watching my 3 year old nephew grow up without his Dad and our family grow up without our Brother, Son, Husband, Uncle and Friend breaks my heart every single day.
That’s why this fundraiser means so much to me. I want to turn our pain into something positive by helping raise money, awareness, and support for families facing cancer. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated. Together, we can help Cancer Council raise much needed funds that go towards vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.
