Wendy Ping's Biggest Morning Tea

The Biggest Morning Tea is more than just a chance to enjoy a cuppa and some delicious treats together. It is an opportunity to come together in support of those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

This is particularly meaningful to me as I reflect on the family members and friends who have faced cancer, as well as those who continue to live with its impact. Like many of us, I have seen the strength, resilience and courage it takes to navigate a diagnosis, treatment and recovery. I have also seen the toll it can take - not only on the individual, but on their loved ones.

I honour those we have lost, those who are currently fighting, those who have survived, and the families and friends who have stood beside them through their journeys. Their strength is a constant reminder of why events like this are so important.

Every contribution made today, no matter how big or small, helps fund vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services. Most importantly, it helps provide hope - hope for better treatments, better outcomes and, one day, a future where fewer families experience the heartbreak of cancer.

To my family and friends who have been affected by cancer, this morning is for you. Your courage, determination and unwavering spirit continue to inspire me every day.
